RETRO: Rediscover Our Economic Tradition, Role and Objective

Established in 2021, RETRO aims to uncover the free market tradition from the princedom of Mount Lebanon until 1975-1990 Lebanese war, passing by an Ottoman Empire subdivision, the French mandate, the country’s independence, and the golden ages of the 1960s.

LIMS is working on this project in coordination with a Lebanese historian, who lectures at a private university in Lebanon. The expert will be drafting a series of detailed reports, describing the history the free market in Lebanon.
